Contrast is electronic music culled from all of my influences - classical, bass music, hip hop, IDM, world music. I refuse to lock myself into any category or genre and I 100% produced these songs on my own. As I’ve played violin practically my whole life I am married to melodies because they help me feel certain emotions. This collection of songs are drastically different from one another, but this is what came tumbling out - hence the name “Contrast”. My whole life is contrast - playing violin and then moving to the extreme opposite in the electronic world. Working with such different artists and loving so many different sounds and processes. My acceptance and love of various genres and people in this world. Connecting with people of all walks of life in my travels around the globe. This was also an exercise in letting go and being ok with the fact that these songs are so different, because they represent the different sides of me, the dichotomy in my personality.
